
Bennett, Sundaram, Martinez, Stock, Porter, Tokoph, Bayaua, Pangilinan
Tommy Tokoph and Danny Bennett captured the 45-player open 9-ball division and 55-player amateur 9-ball division, respectively, at the third stop of the Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour held at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. In the open division, Tokoph bested San Antonio’s Gabe Martinez in overtime. Coming from the one-loss side, Gabe took the first set, 6-1, but Tokoph came back strong in the second set, 5-1. In the amateur 9-ball division, Porter played through the one-loss side, but lost to Bennett in the first set of the finals, 5-4.

On April 11th, 2026, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Outsville Billiards, Team Straight Pool Eye, and newest sponsor, Rack IQ, facilitated a successful event for players across Texas, with a payout of nearly $7,200. Big Tyme added $1,000 to the purses, and provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for tournament play, in a non-smoking environment. Predator sponsored the Arcos II ball sets used on each table, and Accu-Racks were provided by Outsville Billiards for discussion-free racking.

Tokoph
In the open 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Ray Porter ousted Ernesto Bayaua, 6-5, while Dinesh Sundaram denied Steven Kay, 6-4. Gabe Martinez overcame Joshua Pangilinan, 6-4, while Tommy Tokoph took down Will Feder, 6-4. In the next round Porter eased by Sundaram, 6-5, and Tokoph torched Martinez, 6-3. The hotseat match witnessed Tokoph topple Porter, 6-4. On the west side and in the final eight, Roland Stock eliminated Pangilinan, 5-4, and Sundaram, 5-3, while Bayaua benched Bennett, 5-3, falling in turn to Martinez, 5-4. Down to the final four, Martinez finished off Stock, 5-3, and Porter, 5-2, to meet Tokoph in the finals. In the first set, Martinez was on fire, making quick work of Tokoph, 6-1. In overtime, Tokoph regrouped, stringing three racks to end Martinez, 5-1.

In the amateur 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Danny Bennett bested Karl Mehl, 5-3, while Jay Russell detoured Teresa Garland, 5-1. Ray Porter handled newcomer, Roland Stock, 5-2, and Chris Ramoz overwhelmed Andrew Rios, 5-1. In the next round, Bennett sent Russell west, 5-2, and Porter curbed Ramoz, 5-3. Hotseat action witnessed Bennett sneak by Porter, 5-4.

Bennett, Porter
On the west side and in the final eight, Stock eliminated Julian, 4-0, followed by Russell, 4-2. Junior player, Isaac Montez, sent Garland packing, 4-2, along with Ramoz, 4-0. Montez went on to defeat Stock, 4-3, but fell to a veteran Porter, 4-0. After two days of grueling play, 80-year old Ray Porter, aka “energizer bunny”, moved into the amateur finals, following a third place finish in the open division! Bennett was read for action, and Porter put up a great fight, but fell short in the end, 5-4. The Tour would like to congratulate Danny Bennett on a well-deserved, Tour victory!

Montez
The Tour would like to recognize Jay Russell for his highest finish to date, 5th-6th in the amateur 9-ball division. Newcomer, Roland Stock, took fourth in both divisions.
