
Breeson, Chauncey, Massie, Lopez, Aicinena, Rager, Bayaua, Holder
Ray Lopez and David Massie defeated prominent fields to secure first-time wins in the 56-player open 9-ball division, and 61-player amateur 9-ball division, respectively, at the third stop on the Poison Lone Star Tour. Ernesto Bayaua emerged from the one-loss side, besting Lopez in the first set, 6-3, but lost the second set, 5-4. Massie came from the one-loss side to double dip Jeff Chauncey, 5-4, 4-3.

Porter, Massie, Davita, Adams, Harkrider, Behanna, Castillo, Chauncey
On March 14th, 2026, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Alamo Billiards, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, facilitated another successful event for players across Texas, providing a payout of $6,375. There were nearly 70 competitors, including 12 Gulf Coast Tour women, who participated in the third stop of the Tour season, held at the popular Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. Big Tyme provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for tournament play, all covered with Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a non-smoking environment. Predator sponsored the Arcos II ball sets used on each table, and Accu-Racks were provided by Outsville Billiards for discussion-free racking.

Lopez
In the open 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, newcomer Evan Beeson disappointed first-time player, Colton Rager, 6-0, while Ernesto Bayaua denied re-emerging player, Jeff Chauncey, 6-2. In an epic return to tournament play, Ray Lopez defeated Tour Champion, Andrew “A-Rod” Rodriguez, 6-5, and Spencer Holder sent Jacob Wood to the west side, 6-1. In the next round, Bayaua sent Beeson west, 6-2, and Lopez slid by Holder, 6-5. In the hotseat match, Lopez steamrolled Bayaua, 6-1. On the west side, and in the final 8, Eric Aicinena shut out Massie, 5-0, and eliminated Beeson, 5-4. Chauncey ousted Rager, 5-2, but fell to Holder, 5-4. Aicinena made quick work of Holder, 5-0, and moved onto Bayaua. Down to the final three, Aicinena was upended by Bayaua, 5-3, and went on to face Lopez in the true, double elimination finals. In the first set, Bayaua came on strong, overwhelming Lopez, 6-3. In the second set, Lopez regained his ground, ending Bayaua, 5-4. The Tour would like to congratulate Ray Lopez on his first, Tour win.

Massie
In the amateur 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, David Massie ousted Chuck Adams, 5-0, while Jesse Davita bested Skip Behanna, 5-3. Ray Porter defeated Spencer Holder, 5-4, and John Castillo overwhelmed Jeff Chauncey, 5-2. In the next round, Massie sent Davita west, 5-3, while Chauncey stopped Porter, 5-4. The hot seat match witnessed Chauncey shut out Massie, 5-0. On the west side and in the final 8, Harkrider was on fire, with five consecutive wins, taking out Castillo and Davita, by the same score of 4-1, to reach the final four. Behanna terminated Adams, 4-1, and Porter, 4-3, to meet Harkrider. Harkrider ended Behanna, 4-2, securing his eighth, straight win. Massie broke Harkrider’s streak, 4-1, and moved into the finals. In the true, double elimination ending, Chauncey and Massie came out swinging, but the score of the first set swung in Massie’s favor, 5-4. In overtime, once again, Massie edged ahead of Chauncey, 5-4, to secure his first victory on the Poison Lone Star Tour. Congratulations to David Massie on his breakthrough victory.

Holder
The Tour would like to congratulate Spencer Holder who captured his highest finish to date, fourth place, in the open 9-ball division.
The Tour would also like to thank all the players who came out to support the third stop of the year, especially those who drove in from faraway places. The Tour officially welcomes all the new players who attended and encourage them to return at every opportunity.
The next stop of 2026 will be April 11th-12th at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas.
