
Montez, Perez, Bayaua, Freeman, Gomez, Aicinena, Jantzen, Siarski
Eric Aicinena and Clint Freeman captured the 55-player open 9-ball, and 62-player amateur 9-ball divisions, respectively, at the seventh stop on the 2026 Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour held at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. In the open division, following an early round loss, Aicinena won seven consecutive matches, double dipping professional player, Roberto “Superman” Gomez, in the finals, 6-5, 5-3. In the amateur division, after losing the hot seat to 12-year-old Donnie Proctor of Lufkin, Texas, Freeman returned to defeat Proctor in the finals, 5-3, 4-1, to capture his first-ever win.

Rodriguez, Peters, Proctor, Freeman, McKenney, Abernathy, Kennedy, Torres
On July 11th-12th, 2026, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Outsville Billiards, Team Straight Pool Eye, and brand new sponsor, Rack IQ, facilitated a successful event for players across Texas. Big Tyme Billiards added $1,000 to the purses, bringing the payout to nearly $8,000, along with providing twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for tournament play, in a non-smoking environment. Predator sponsored the Arcos II ball sets used on each table, and Accu-Racks were provided by Outsville Billiards for discussion-free racking.

Gomez, Aicinena
In the open 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Roberto Gomez iced Jantzen Miller, 6-1, while Ernesto Bayaua made quick work of Clint Freeman, 6-1. Isaac Montez upset Kenneth Price, 6-5, and Steve Siarski ousted Donald Proctor, 6-2. In the following round, Gomez shutout Bayaua, 6-0, and Montez sent Siarski west, 6-5. In the hot seat match, a quick and painless 6-0 win for Gomez, sent Montez to one-loss side. On the one-loss side, in the final 8, Aicinena was on a roll, logging wins over J.R. Perez, 5-0, and Bayaua, 5-1, while Freeman eliminated Miller, 5-0, and Siarski, 5-1. Aicinena went on to best Freeman, 5-3, and Montez, 5-0. Aicinena accrued seven, consecutive matches to meet professional player, Roberto “Superman” Gomez in the finals. With a swift and steady pace, Aicinena defeated Gomez, 6-5, 5-3, for a total of nine, consecutive matches, to capture his second event of the 2026 season.

Proctor, Freeman
In the amateur 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Clint Freeman dusted off J.C. Torres, 5-3, while Andrew Rodriguez bested Austin Abernathy, 5-2. Randall McKenney fell to Donnie Proctor, 5-3, and Shaun Kennedy squeezed by Courtney Barton, 5-4. In the following round, Freeman sent Rodriguez west, 5-3, while Proctor detoured Kennedy, 5-2. The hot seat witnessed a 12-year old Proctor, win his first-ever, hot seat match, against Freeman, 5-4. On the one-loss side, and in the final 8, Barton was on fire, with victories over McKenney, 4-0, and Rodriguez, 4-2, while J.C. Torres eliminated Abernathy, 5-0, an Kennedy, 4-2. Vying for third, Barton sent Torres home, 4-2, but fell to Freeman in the next round, 4-3. In the finals, Proctor put up a brilliant fight, but was overtaken by Freeman in the true, double elimination final, 5-3, 4-1.

Montez
The Tour would like to welcome and congratulate Shaun Kennedy, who played in his first event, and finished 7th-8th in the amateur division. Congratulations also goes out to Isaac Montez (open, 3rd), Steve Siarski (open, 5th-6th), and Randall McKenney (amateur, 7th-8th), on achieving their highest finishes to date. The Tour would also like to recognize and commend Courtney (Peters) Barton on her 3rd place finish in the amateur 9-ball division, and Ellen Couvillion on her top 16 finish.
