Price, Garcia, Perez, Twitty, Pangilinan, Amos, Rojas, Rodriguez
Victor Rojas and Kenneth Price plowed through exceptional fields at the third stop on the Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour, held at Big Tyme Billiards, in Spring, Texas. Victor “Champion” Rojas went undefeated, besting Andrew Rodriguez in the final of the 55-player, amateur 9-ball division, 5-4, while Kenneth Price took down Victor “Champion” Rojas in overtime, 5-4, 4-0, to win the 50-player, open 9-ball division.
On April 12th-13th, 2025, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Alamo Billiards, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, facilitated another successful event for players across Texas. Nearly 100 competitors, including 12 Gulf Coast Tour women, participated in the third stop, held at the popular Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. Big Tyme provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for tournament play, all covered with Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a non-smoking environment. Predator sponsored the Arcos II ball sets used on each table, and Accu-Racks were provided by Outsville Billiards for discussion-free racking.
In the amateur division, winners’ side final eight, Joshua Pangilinan slid past Darryl Amos, 5-4, and Victor “Champion” Rojas defeated Chuck Adams, 5-3. Kenneth Price sent Pedro Oviol west, 5-2, while Rafael Garcia bested newcome Edgar Narvaez, 5-3. In the next round, Rojas denied Amos, 5-0, and Garcia upset Price, 5-4. Hot seat action witnessed Rojas make quick work of Garcia, 5-1. On the west side, and in the final eight, Andrew “A-Rod” Rodriguez, eliminated Junior Perez, 4-0, and Amos, 4-3. Andrew lost his first match, and Amos marked his eighth victim. Also sliding in the final eight, Pangilinan went on to eliminate D. Twitty, 4-2, but was eliminated by Price by the same score. Rodriguez was on fire, denying Price, 4-3, and Garcia, 4-1, logging an impressive ten match wins.

Rojas faced off with Rodriguez in the first set of the true, double elimination finals. In the first match, Rodriguez had Rojas 4-1. Rojas collected himself, and tied up the match, 4-4. In the final game, Victor broke and made two balls. He ran out to the 9-ball, and his cue ball position on the 9-ball was a bit suspect. However, in true, “Champion” form, he bared down, and cinched the nine to win the set, 5-4.

Price, Holder, Knox, Jarnagin, Perez, Toler, Rojas, Pangilinan
In the open division, winners’ side final eight, newcomer Nathan Jarnagin bested Layne Toler, 6-1, while Kenneth Price detoured Kevin Frauenberger, 6-5. Joshua Pangilinan defeated Andrew Rodriguez, 6-3, and Junior Perez upset Victor Rojas, 6-3. The next round witnessed Price persecute Jarnagin, 6-3, while Pangilinan slid past Perez, 6-5. In the hot seat match, Price punished Pangilinan, 6-2. On the west side, and in the final eight, Rojas eliminated Lynn Knox, 5-4, and Jarnagin, 5-1, while Spencer Holder dusted off Layne Toler, 5-3, falling in turn to Perez, 5-4. Rojas inched past Pangilinan, 5-4, to meet Price in the finals. In the true, double elimination finals, Price and Rojas were hill-hill, and Price missed a crucial 9-ball to win, undefeated. In the second set, Price was fiercely determined to win, and dominated the second set, beating Rojas 4-0.

The Tour would like to welcome all the new players who attended their first event. Congratulations to newcomer, Nathan Jarnagin, on his 5th-6th finish in the open division, and Ashley Julian who placed 9th-12th in the amateur division.
