Jason Harkrider and Shahram Changezi secured wins at the final event on the Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour, held at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. In the final of the 64-player amateur 9-ball division, Harkrider dusted off Junior Perez in the first set, 5-3, while Changezi bested Ernesto Bayaua in the finals of the 57-player open division, 6-1. Congratulations to both players who also earned coveted “Tour Champion” titles, rising to the top of their respective, division rankings. Andrew Rodriguez also took home “Most Improved Player” for his breakout wins. Each player received a set of Predator Arcos II Balls for their efforts.

On October 11th-`12th,2025, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Alamo Billiards, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, facilitated another successful event for players across Texas, providing a payout of nearly $8,000. Nearly 100 competitors, including 17 Gulf Coast Tour women, participated in the final event of the Tour season, held at the popular Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. Big Tyme provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for tournament play, all covered with Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a non-smoking environment. Predator sponsored the Arcos II ball sets used on each table, and Accu-Racks were provided by Outsville Billiards for discussion-free racking.
In the amateur 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Kenneth Price ousted Courtney Peters, 5-4, while Junior Perez knocked down Rafael Garcia, 5-3. Andrew Rios denied David Twitty, 5-3, and Jason Harkrider bested Danny Carlin, 5-1. In the next round, Perez slid by Price, 5-4, while Harkrider sent D. Twitty west, 5-1. The hot seat match witnessed Harkrider edge out Perez, 5-4. On the west side and in the final 8, Alex Ramon eliminated Brandon Tang, 4-2, but fell to Price, 4-3. Kevin Frauenberger dusted off Ray Porter, 4-1, followed by D. Twitty, 4-2. Price shut out Frauenberger, 4-1, but was stopped by Perez, 5-4. Perez moved on to meet Harkrider for a rematch, in the finals. In the first set, Harkrider took charge, defeating Perez, 5-3, to capture his second event of the year. Congratulations to Jason Harkrider, not only on his multiple wins, but on becoming the 2025 Amateur Division Tour Champion. For his efforts, he received a set of Predator Arcos II Balls, and the coveted Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour plaque.

Changezi, Hsu, Canchola, Harkrider, Bosshamer, Rojas, Shabib, Bayaua
In the open 9-ball division, winners’ side final 8, Eric Hsu denied Joe Hudson, 6-2, while Ernesto Bayaua overwhelmed Jason Harkrider, 6-3. Sonny “The Boss” Bosshamer upset Victor “Champion” Rojas, 6-4, and Shahram Changezi overpowered Brandon Tang, 6-2. In the next round, Hsu fell to Bayaua, 6-2, and Changezi sent Bosshamer packing, 6-4. The hot seat witnessed Changezi cut through Bayaua, 6-1. On the west side, and in the final 8, Rojas eliminated Corpus’ Mark Canchola, 5-4, but was sent home by Hsu, 5-3. Following a first-round upset by Ray Porter, open-only player Raed Shabib marched through the west side, eliminating Harkrider, 5-3, and Bosshamer, 5-3, marking up 8 wins on the one-loss side. Hsu stopped Shabib, 5-1, but was shutout by Bayaua, 5-0. Bayaua moved into the finals, for a rematch with Changezi. In the first set of the true, double elimination final, Changezi was on repeat, shutting down Bayaua for a second and final time, 6-1. Congratulations to Shahram Changezi, not only for capturing two events this year, but earning the title, 2025 Open Division Tour Champion. For his efforts, he received a set of Predator Arcos II Balls, and the coveted Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour plaque.

Also capturing a very special award this year, Andrew Rodriguez takes home, “2025 Most Improved Player”, locking down two wins, and a second place in the amateur division rankings. Andrew has played on Tour for several years, but this year was definitely his breakout year. The Tour is proud to recognize his hard work and his remarkable sportsmanship, on Tour.
It was great to see returning players, Brandon Tang, Eric Hsu, and Dallas’ Clint Freeman, at the final event. The Tour would also like to acknowledge Mark Canchola and Chris Salinas who drove in from Corpus, John and Lisa Sellers and family, and Chris and Tiffany Huvar, who have joined the Tour this year!
The first stop of 2026 will be January 3rd-4th at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. The Tour welcomes all players back, at every opportunity.
