
Jason Harkrider and Scott Kephart won their respective divisions at the seventh stop on the Poison Lone Star Billiards Tour, held at Fast Eddie’s (Culebra) in San Antonio. Harkrider plowed through the 52-player, amateur 9-ball division, ousting Scott Kephart in the final, 5-2. Kephart annihilated the 49-player, open 9-ball division, overwhelming Rudy Sanchez in the final, 6-2.
On September 13th, 2025, title sponsor Poison by Predator Cues, sponsors Predator Cues, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, facilitated another successful event for players across Texas. Nearly 80 competitors, including 14 Gulf Coast Tour women, participated in the seventh stop, held at Fast Eddie’s (Culebra) in San Antonio, Texas. The event was played on 8’ tables, in a non-smoking environment, using Predator Arcos II ball sets on each table, and Accu-Racks by Outsville Billiards.

In the amateur division, winners’ side final eight, Scott Kephart denied Eric Reyes, 5-3, while Mark Canchola slid past Jesse Davida, 5-4. Robert Almaraz ousted Juan Longoria, 5-2, and Jason Harkrider sent Matthew Shoemaker west, 5-2. In the next round, Kephart eased by Canchola, 5-4, while Harkrider denied Almaraz, 5-4. The hot seat witnessed Harkrider best Kephart, 5-2. On the west side, in the final eight, Longoria eliminated Shoemaker, 5-3, and Canchola, 4-0, while Yniguez ended Reyes, 4-3, falling in turn to Almaraz, 5-2. Longoria went on to shut out Almaraz, 4-0, but fell to Kephart, 4-1. Once again, Kephart faced off with Harkrider, this time, in the true, double elimination final. The first set was short lived for Kephart, as Harkrider took charge, closing the set out, 5-3. Congratulations to Jason Harkrider on this well-deserved victory.

In the open division, winners’ side final eight, Scott Kephart detoured Rudy Sanchez, 6-5, while Felipe Yniquez shut out Danny Carlin, 6-0. David Leal bested Adrian Raz, 6-4, and Robert Almaraz squeezed by Jason Harkrider, 6-5. In the next round, Kephart detoured Yniguez, 6-2, and Leal took care of Almaraz, 6-3. In the hot seat match, Leal let Kephart slip away, 6-5. On the west side and in the final eight, Eric Aicinena eliminated Rax, 5-1, and Yniguez, 5-0. Sanchez took out Wayne Senn and Almaraz by the same score, 5-2. Sanchez went on to conquer Aicinena, 5-4, and Leal, 5-3, to meet Kephart in the final. Sanchez was on a roll, with five consecutive wins, but Kephart was ready, ending his run, 6-2. Congratulations to Scott Kephart on an impressive, Tour victory.
